Terms of Service

1. The service

Kaptions provides an AI caption studio: upload a video, generate word-timed captions, style them with kinetic presets, and export a captioned MP4. Plans are Free, Starter ($3/month), Pro ($5/month), and Creator ($10/month), each with monthly video credits, project caps, and export entitlements shown on our pricing section.

2. Your account

You sign in with Google and are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. Free previews of premium styles are preview-only; exporting premium looks requires a qualifying paid plan.

3. Acceptable use

• Only upload videos you own or have the right to edit.
• Do not upload unlawful, infringing, hateful, or sexually explicit content involving minors.
• Do not abuse, resell, or attempt to circumvent plan limits, metering, or access controls.
• Do not reverse-engineer or disrupt the service.

We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or threaten the security of the service.

4. Subscriptions and refunds

Subscriptions are billed monthly through Dodo Payments. Video credits reset each calendar month and do not roll over. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period. Refunds are handled case-by-case — contact support@kaptions.xyz.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to your videos and captions. By using the transcription and rendering features you grant us only the limited processing rights needed to operate the service (for example, sending extracted audio to transcription providers). Your videos remain stored in your browser unless you choose to render server-side.

6. Service availability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, transcription accuracy, or third-party provider uptime. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
